I'm setting up a basic  donation page using the Basic Paypal account. In following the video instructions for the IPN, I see that Paypal has updated their site and now what is shown on the video no longer applies.

It looks like the new list of Sellng Tools doesn't show an option for IPN anymore. There's API, but I believe you've already taken care of that part.

And they don't show Exchange as an option in their Business Set up guide (Business set up).

I'm wondering if I need to bother with the IPN now?
It looks like just using the Paypal email is enough.

Please advise, thanks!
Sherri :-)

Hi Sherri,

This is a recent change in PayPal.  You don't need to worry about setting the IPN now, though.  It's set on a per-payment basis, so PayPal should know where the IPN is.

Sorry for the confusion!  Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks,

Elise

Hi Elise,

I was able to find the IPN afterall. The way Paypal changed their layout, it was hard to find the My Profile area. Found it through the back door via API settings. And then later via the front door - the person icon in upper right corner. Doh!

Got the Standard Security Paypal set up in Exchange - looks like it's working okay.

Thanks!
Sherri :-)
