Background:
I need to create a website that uses memberships to restrict access to certain pages and functionality but without the user directly purchasing a membership.

How do I implement the following (with code if necessary):
  • Any visitor can register as a user on the site. Once he does, he automatically gains Membership A1 (without purchasing or doing anything). A registration email will be sent.
  • Under certain conditions, e.g. after 1 month, unless User A1 has purchased a product, his membership will change to A2 automatically (without his intervention). Emails need to be sent several days prior to this and once the event happens.
  • If User A2 purchases one or more products (not a membership) he returns to Membership A1.
  • User A1 has the ability to register new users that have Membership B.
I really appreciate any help with the above requirements.
