Has there been any progress toward being able to add customers automatically to a MailChimp list? I asked about this a few months ago here: http://tinyurl.com/pyhk7gk and voted for the feature on the Roadmap -- seemed like a lot of people wanted it. I see that other email features are being added, so wanted to check in on this one.

Thanks in advance,
Patty Ayers

Hi Patty,

I don't have an update on this.  At this time we are still recommending using one of the email add-ons like MailChimp to email your customers about new content, updates, etc.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.

Thanks, Elise. The MailChimp add-on only allows people to opt in if they want, so meets a completely different need. We need to be able to email all of our customers. We'll add them to a list manually for now, but really hoping this gets some attention soon, email being such a basic aspect of e-commerce.
