Pre-Sales: It Looks Like Another Process Might Already Be Trying To Backup Your Database

Before I buy a Suite subscription, i want to first make sure that I can achieve a successful database backup saved to the server and sent to my via email.   I get this error message qhen trying to backup:

'Something went wrong with your backup. It looks like another process might already be trying to backup your database. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists please contact support.'

The path to the server is correct and the folder has permissions set to 750.  What else can cause this issue?  There are no other backup/security plugins installed.
