I just noticed that the homepage slideshow for the Architect Theme (Version 3.4.2 I think) has disappeared. I understand that I have not updated the theme, however, a major part of the website should not cease to be functional just because I am not willing to put $80 per year into updating the theme.
Please advise how to fix this issue.

the theme does not cease any functionality based on having a subscription to support or updates, there is no code whatsoever that is triggered by this,
