iThemes Media Launches Premium Movable Type Theme Store

A couple of months ago, I had the pleasure of speaking with Anil Dash, a vice president at SixApart, who is responsible for developing Movable Type, an open source blog/CMS software that I’ve been interested in for a long time.

Anil and the staff at SixApart, as well as Jesse Gardner and Byrne Reese, have been very helpful, extremely friendly and just excited about the prospect of us building themes (or template sets) for Movable Type.

So today, we’re officially launching our Movable Type Theme Store.

The first theme we’ve got built for Movable Type is our Blogging Success theme, a two-column blog theme, with 5 pre-built color styles.

We’re also offering a free Movable Type theme called Business Blogger. And soon, our popular Essence theme will be available in MT. (We’re taking pre-orders for that as well.)

The move will likely involves some bumps in the road, but we’re just excited to be able to offer high-quality, professionally designed themes for Movable Type users.
