What’s Cooking at iThemes
By Cory Miller • September 25, 2008
Most of you don’t know some of the great things that have been happening in the background at iThemes besides new theme releases.
So I thought I’d take a moment and give you some quick updates …
The biggest news in my opinion has been the fact that we’ve grown from a one-person operation (me) to a five-member rockin’ team.
In the last few weeks and months, we’ve added some great people to our staff, including, in order of when they joined us: Nathan Rice, James Dalman, Jesse Petersen and Chris Jean.
Three of us are located in Oklahoma City and two work remotely in South Carolina and Florida. (You can learn more about them specifically on our About page and also their independent sites linked above.)
I can’t say how excited I am to have each member of our team … they represent the best and brightest in their respective areas. I can say this because each come from personal relationships that I’ve cultivated with them for months and even years as I’ve seen their work and dreamed about the potential for having them on our team.
What does this mean for you?
Each brings unique and valuable talents to our team that will translate into better products and service for you, our awesome customers.
Make no mistake, each of us is passionate about WordPress and personally use it for our blogs and websites … but even more so … we’re passionate about providing awesome web design solutions and tools that help YOU, first and foremost, accomplish your online goals and objectives.
So this last week we gathered at a lake resort in southern Oklahoma for our first company retreat. (The photo above was taken there and represents our first official team photo).
It was three days of intense brainstorming, strategic planning and of course, antics that come out of putting five guys into one cabin for three straight days. More than anything though, it was a time for us to gel as a team and get to know each other better (aside from IM’ing and conference calls).
We’ve now emerged … we’re all exhausted … but eager to take what we’re doing here for you to the next level.
You’ll see the fruit of this time revealed in the coming weeks and months … until then, stay tuned … and know we’re working for you!

Hi! I’m so glad you had a great retreat! I love your themes and was about to purchase, but am slightly astounded by the sudden price increase! Any discounts for small community groups eh?!
