Builder SEO Plugin Beta Overview Video

Since many people are excited about this new feature, I thought a video overview would be helpful to show what options are offered.

This plugin is available as a beta to our Builder customers. Once the code is well-tested and the features are finalized, these SEO features will be bundled directly into the theme.

  1. Chris, the SEO feature addition to Builder is simply stunning! We’re in the middle of moving our office, but we’ll start BETA testing next week. Great work!

  2. Hi Chris!

Thanks for this new feature and the video. Great work, as usual…

I’m not sure about something: is this feature made to replace plugins like All in one SEO or Platinum SEO ?
Is it better than those, or is better to use both?

    Thank you!

    • Builder currently has some compatibility issues with the different SEO plugins due to how they function. Originally, this project was merely to fix the compatibility issues, but I quickly saw that bundling options to control the meta and title tags together with helpful information could be very beneficial to our users.

Builder SEO fixes the compatibility issues as it allows plugins to override its meta and title tags by default. This has been tested against All in One SEO Pack, HeadSpace2, and Platinum SEO Pack, and it does exactly what it should with each plugin. Beyond compatibility, it also gives users a great level of control over their meta tags and titles.

The goal isn’t to replace or supersede any existing or future plugins as I don’t intend to match all the features of different SEO plugins; rather, the goal is to give users new control over how the theme functions.

Whether this is better than, worse than, or best used in tandem with plugins, I leave that up to the end user to decide as only the individual user will best know their needs.

  3. This looks really useful. I’m testing it on a site of mine now and all works fine. Any idea when you will move from beta to the full release?

    Cheers

  4. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is wonderful blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.

  5. Any news on when this is going to become part of builder as mentioned in the description (over 2 years ago)? I use the “All In One SEO” plugin but it would be nice using something that I know won’t cause conflicts and will continue to be updated. Thanks.
