We’re excited to announce the formation of the Adobe Users of Oklahoma City (AUOKC). We’ll be partnering with The Div, our non-profit tech community, to bring our local community of Adobe users together. The AUOKC was recently founded by our own Justin Seeley, lead design instructor at WebDesign.com and longtime Adobe Community Member.
“AUOKC is our way of giving back to the local community”, Seeley said. “We want to help educate those interested in new and emerging technologies and to bring our local community of Adobe users together to share our knowledge, creativity and passion with one another.”
The AUOKC will kick off with it’s first official event tonight (Sept 1) with a free class “Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Beginners“. The class will cover the basics of Adobe’s digital imaging powerhouse and include an overview of new features in CS5. The AUOKC will also be holding monthly Adobe User meetups on the 3rd Tuesday of every month. The first AUOCK Meetup will be held September 20 from 6-7PM.
Again, all events are free and open to the public. For more information, visit the AUOKC website or follow @auokc on Twitter. Get involved with your own local Adobe Users group by visiting http://groups.adobe.com/.
