Making Use of the Projects Feature in Covell

One of the most popular portfolio Builder child themes (and one of my personal favorites) is Covell, which has several content-specific features, including the Projects Custom Post Type.

Covell’s Projects are great for showing off content images (like portfolio items), since the Projects page has been designed to only show featured images from Projects posts (like this):

Once Covell is activated, the Projects section appears in the dashboard below Posts:

1. To create a new Project entry, click Add New.

2. From the Projects Post editor, enter a title and project description.

3. Click the Set featured image link to select your image (we used 960px × 400px).

4. Hit Publish. To visit the page that lists all projects, go to www.yoursite.com/projects (no need to create a Page titled “Projects”):

Each Projects featured image will link to its single-view project page, which now includes the description:

Nice, huh? So be sure to check out Covell (see the demo here) and Builder’s Theme’s awesome flexibility–the perfect pair for creating an awesome WordPress portfolio site.

  1. !his looks very interesting. The last frame of the instructions says:

Each Projects featured image will link to its single-view project page, which now includes the description.

Will there be any way to have pagination going to the next & previous images / single view project-page w/ description?
