iThemes Builder 5.0 is Here!

Builder 5
Last week, we announced the new iThemes Builder 5 in Builder Core and today we’re rolling out new versions of all the Builder themes with some great, new functionality built-in — all of this based on customer feedback and input over the years to make Builder easier and better for you!

This December, we will celebrate Builder’s fourth birthday and we’re jazzed about our popular theme which we created to make building websites easier and without having to have a Ph.D. in computer science.

Here are the new benefits rolled into Builder 5.0:

  • Automatic updates for Builder – This new system allows us to push automatic updates to your Builder themes without as much heavy lifting on your part.
  • One zip installation process – From now on, you won’t have two theme zip files to install for new sites. For new Builder sites, all you have to do is upload your Builder Theme, activate and go.
  • New Child Theme setup to preserve your customizations – Builder takes care of creating a unique child theme and name for all your customizations. After installation, Builder prompts you to create your own child theme to customize. Again, this allows us to provide automatic updates to your theme without losing your customizations.
  • Pre-packaged layouts to look like the demo sites – You’ve consistently asked for this and we’re now able to give it to you with Builder 5. This new system allows us to package custom layouts with individual Builder themes so your sites can look like the demos. Of course as always you’ll need to get your own content (i.e. your own photos and text).

I’m a total novice at this and really struggle to get my blog to look good. I need something that is really easy. My blog is listed above, too me it’s just kind of blah. Is the 80 builder themes for $97 a one time fee or is it annual or what? Also, I really don’t know any html code, so is your builder site good for a rookie like me?
