• Stop trying to do it ALL. Wearing all the hats can mean you may miss some things. It’s hard to work on the business as you’re working in the business.
• Building your confidence. If you don’t believe in yourself, why would clients?
• Invest in relationships. You can’t get far if you go alone. Connect with people who know more than you. Get out there and meet people, don’t hide behind your computer. Connections can lead to amazing things.
• Find the right clients! They do exist, you just have to find them. See bullet point above.
• Sell true value. A lot of freelancers focus on hours and that may not always be the best way to price your projects. What are you really delivering to your clients? You’re selling them what they want, in the form of a website.
• Price for profit. Earning only what you need does not bring success. Don’t be afraid to charge more.
• Do great work. Make people love what you do and they will tell others.
