New! View Edits Since Last WordPress Backup in BackupBuddy

The latest version of BackupBuddy just added more helpful details to the BackupBuddy dashboard widget about your WordPress backups. Now you can view details of any edits made to your website since your last backup. Current BackupBuddy, Plugin Suite & Toolkit customers will find version 8.2.

The latest version of BackupBuddy just added more helpful details to the BackupBuddy dashboard widget about your WordPress backups. Now you can view details of any edits made to your website since your last backup.

Current BackupBuddy, Plugin Suite & Toolkit customers will find version 8.2.9 of BackupBuddy available as an automatic update from your WordPress dashboard (for licensed sites) or as a manual download from the iThemes Member Panel.

New! View Recent Edits Since Last WordPress Backup

BackupBuddy adds an optional widget to your WordPress dashboard so you can quickly view the number of edits since your last manual or scheduled backup, along with a button to run a backup. Seeing the number of edits since your last backup is a great reminder of how many changes can happen on your site between backups.

Now the BackupBuddy dashboard widget includes even more details about the edits made since your last backup. [pullquote]BackupBuddy’s edit tracking now tracks 5x more actions with more detail and accuracy.[/pullquote]

  • 1. To get started, update to BackupBuddy 8.2.9+. Navigate to your WordPress dashboard and make sure you have the BackupBuddy dashboard widget enabled from your WordPress dashboard Screen Options.
Note: To take advantage of BackupBuddy’s new “recent edits” details, your site will need to have the BackupBuddy dashboard widget enabled from your WordPress dashboard > Screen Options > BackupBuddy.
  • 2. Click the “Edits Since Last Backup” link in the BackupBuddy dashboard widget. (Note: If you’re also running Stash Live, click the “Traditional” tab in the widget, then click the “Edits Since Last Backup” link.

You can toggle between edit details using the buttons at the top of this modal window. View edit details including:
