The Sync Dashboard just got another handy update to save you time in keeping your WordPress sites up to date: the ability to view plugin changelogs directly from the Sync dashboard.
Viewing Changelogs Before You Update
From the Sync Home page, click the down arrow to expand the site details. In the Updates section, you’ll see a new View Changelog link.
Click the View Changelog link under the update button to see the changelog. Sync will load up the text in a modal window so you can quickly scan the version release notes from the developer.
Viewing Changelogs from the Updates Page
Another way to view changelogs is from the Updates page. From the left-hand menu in the Sync dashboard, click the Updates menu item. Just click the View Changelog button to see the changelog.
Two More Ways to View Changelogs
- You can also view changelogs from the Update Tray at the top of the Home page. Just click the View Updates button underneath Plugins and you’ll see the Changelogs link on the right.
- On any individual Full Site Details page, click the Plugins tab. You’ll see the View Changelog link underneath each plugin with an available changelog in the list.
A Note About Available Changelogs
Right now, Sync can only load changelogs for 1) plugins from the WordPress.org repository and 2) licensed iThemes plugins.
