I haven't worked with WordPress before, so please forgive the lack of knowledge. :)

I'm interested in the Essence theme, but have a question. On the home page, to the right of the picture slideshow, is a text area. How much tweating is required to add a static image in that area? Is it even possible?

Thank you,

Yes, possible to change this quite easily.

Edit home.php and replace

<?php echo $wp_theme_options['homepage_title'] ?>

<?php echo stripslashes(wpautop($wp_theme_options['homepage_copy'])); ?>

with HTML code to display your desired image.

Ensure that the image is 380px wide by 250px high.
