Can't show staff (City Church child theme) in tabber widget
Posted 30 August 2011 - 11:32 AM
Thanks for posting this. Just to clarify some things:
1 : Are you trying to achieve the same results as this exact demo pagehttp://demos.ithemes.com/city-church/staff/?
2 : Or are you trying to see if the Staff pictures can appear in the widget via the Tabber Widget, like in the widget section on this page http://demos.ithemes.com/city-church/blog-the-posts/?
Some more info about adding Staff to the City Church theme here: http://ithemes.com/codex/page/BuilderChild-City-Church#Staff
Once I can see the exact thing you're trying to achieve, I can give you a more direct solution or alternate.

there is no "native" or built in way to do this. After all, tabber widget allows you to add content from other widgets into the tabs of the tabber you've created.
There is a way to list staff though, by using the Custom Post Type List Widget plugin. This plugin adds a widget that will list your choice of Custom Post Type, similar to "recent posts".
So by using that plugin, and dragging that widget in to the "Staff" tab, you can list staff members.
If you want to add additional details from the Staff CPT information, you will have to revert to good ol' handcoding (great info here), so that depends on your skills.
