Upon registering unto my site I would like give my members a free membership.

So when they register they will get access to upgrade their free membership to one with greater value or with more features.

Is that possible within the membership plugin? or are there any plugin hooks that I can use?

Best Regards
Lucas Dechow

Hi Lucas,

There isn't currently an option to do this in Exchange or the Membership add-on.

You will find all the Exchange functions here in the codex:  http://ithemes.com/codex/page/Category:Exchange/Functions

This sort of customization would be beyond the scope of support, but, as a starting point, if you have the Manual Purchases add-on, you might take a look at the code in addon-functions.php.  That should give you some idea of how to accomplish this.

Let us know if you have any additional questions.
