Support FAQs

To contact support, you’ll need to create a support ticket. To create your ticket, you’ll need to log into your iThemes Member Panel using the customer username and password you used to purchase iThemes Security Pro.  From there, you’ll go to the Support page where you can create your ticket.

When you create your ticket, be sure to include as much detail as possible about the issue you’re having.  Also, be sure to share the version of WordPress you’re using, the version of the plugin you’re having trouble with and any testing you’ve done until this point.

When working with support, it is important to include as much information about your issue as possible in your ticket, including:

  • Summary of issue or question
  • The version of WordPress you’re using
  • The version of the plugin you’re having trouble with
  • Any notes on testing you’ve done until this point
  • If available, any error logs and/or raw details files that you can attach to the ticket.
  • Applicable screenshots (When creating your ticket, you’ll see the option at the bottom of the page to Upload Attachments.  Once you’ve clicked that button, a window will open where you can drag and drop your file to attach to the ticket.)

Support hours are 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday, Central Time (1 pm – 11 pm GMT). While support is only guaranteed during these times, our Help Center is open 24 hours a day for answers to common troubleshooting questions. Check out the current iThemes local day and time

We will do our best to help troubleshoot and diagnose anything causing an issue with your use of an iThemes product. However, we are unable to repair other third-party plugins or themes that may be interfering with our products. If there’s a hosting issue, we are always happy to provide best practice guidelines you can pass along to your host in order to ensure our products work on your chosen host.

Account access, support access and change requests are granted to the account holder only. So be sure to create the account under the name of the person who will be handling the account and requesting support.  If the plugin was purchased and installed by another party, such as a web developer, they will be the ONLY ones to have access to the account. If you are a web developer/contractor and the plugin was purchased by your client, the client (Account Owner) will need to reach out to us here. 

Your iThemes Security Pro purchase includes a one-year membership subscription to updates and support for the plugin, including ticketed support from the iThemes Help Desk. The membership model is the best way we can provide top-tier support and maintain iThemes Security Pro to guard your site against the latest forms of attacks. After the one-year mark, iThemes Security Pro is still yours to use and keep, but we recommend renewing your iThemes Security Pro subscription to have continued access to updates and support.
