10 New Design Tools and Resources for August 2022

This is the time of year when new releases seem to ramp up, and this month is no exception. There are plenty of new tools available to help you build your best WordPress sites with even more new design tools and resources on the horizon.

Here are 10 new design tools and resources to explore:

1. Kadence Shop Kit 2.0 is Here

Another much-in-demand feature for many WordPress users is the ability to customize product
page layouts for e-commerce stores in WooCommerce. Introducing Kadence Shop Kit 2.0, which will allow you to do just that.

Use the block editor to create layouts in a no-code manner and integrate them with Kadence
templates.

Other Shop Kit 2.0 features include:

• Optimize your checkout flow
• Enable and disable specific checkout fields
• Customize checkout forms
• Create custom cart messages

The Kadence Shop Kit plugin is available in the Kadence Full Bundle and anyone with a Full
Bundle subscription is able to download the plugin from their Kadence WP account dashboard. For
those using previous versions of Kadence Shop Kit, they can upgrade easily in their wp-admin
plugins dashboard.

2. Print Your Online Calendar

This might be one of the best things we’ve heard in a long time! With the latest version of The
Events Calendar, there is a great print function that converts the online calendar to a readable
printed version using standard commands. Your Calendar Now Looks Great in Print!

Just navigate to File, then Print, and you can get a great-looking printout of any calendar page
that looks a lot like the web experience. (You know if you tried this in the past, the result was
potentially hit or miss.)

You can even print month views on a single page. Just navigate to the custom scale settings in
the print dialog box for your browser and decrease the zoom to ensure there’s no overlap to Page
2.

3. Get Involved with New Donation Forms

GiveWP – the go-to name in nonprofit WordPress websites and donation forms – is on the cusp
of a major upgrade, and you can be part of shaping the tool.

Version 3.0 will include a new visual form builder that should be easier to use and more familiar
for more WordPress users. There are four upcoming milestones in the development process, and
the GiveWP team wants your feedback through town hall meetings, GitHub testing,
WordPress.org testing, and then in the final version.

4. Migrate to LearnDash Cloud

LearnDash has moved to the cloud. This means you can run on the WordPress plugin version or
move to a fully-hosted cloud site for LearnDash.

If you choose the latter, you can migrate an existing LearnDash site to LearnDash Cloud using a simple set of migration steps. We won’t walk you through the entire process here, but you can find it on the LearnDash blog and most users can complete the migration on their own without the help of a developer. (Some general WordPress knowledge is required.)
