The Faces of Friends of iThemes

A few weeks ago, we launched the Friends of iThemes. The idea was simple: we wanted to display photos of our customers around our office to remind us of who we’re working to help every day. Being a web-based company has a ton of advantages, but it’s easy to miss the “human element” of interacting with our customers.

The response has been incredible, and we feel really amazed to have so many friends from all across the globe.

A ladder, a level, and some double-sided tape later, we now have the newly-installed Friends of iThemes wall:

We all gathered around, noting the names that now finally had faces, the unique personalities of each photo (some made us laugh pretty hard), and we all felt pretty inspired. So, thanks to all of you, our Friends. You make it possible for us to do what we love.

Go Far Together [New iThemes Office Mural]

We recently wrapped up a mural project at the iThemes office. We just finished up a remodel to accommodate for new work areas as we’ve expanded, so we gained a nice bare wall that needed some personality.

We have several iThemes mottos, and one of them is an ancient African proverb:

In the fast-paced world of web development and design, it’s good to be reminded that we do greater work together than we could ever do alone.

Brad, our designer, sketched up a few amazing designs and we went to work enlarging it by 1000% for its new home on the wall. Over the span of 3 days, it took around nine hours to complete:
